A peacock gazes intensely at you as it displays its tail feathers. The front of the bird is made up of bright and vivid blues designed using collaged shiny, papers and placed together in an Art Deco and mosaic style. The edge of the body is well defined with dark blue against the rest of the peacock. Sweet wrappers and iridescent material has been added to the painting to further enhance the realism and eye catching impression of the feathers. A blue sparkly crown adorns his head. The eye design has intense blue in the centre with gold edges and silvery feathering. The plumage is rich and variegated with emerald and sapphire and bright green tail feathers. This bird is confident, extravagant, fancy, vane and proud as its plumage soars to the sky and its finery is there for all of us to gaze upon.
