2022 has got off to a slow start with outdoor oil sketches, mainly because of a sharp wind which has been blowing even on fine days here in Cumbria. Yesterday afternoon looked worth a try, calm & quite warm, if a bit cloudy. These pics show the start and, after 4 hours, the finish, at which point it was...windy! I was quite satisfied with the result, which still needs a few refinements, not least the addition of the wonderful contribution which the foxgloves make.
