I came across this oil sketch recently in a bottom drawer. I made it whilst perched on Haystacks, en plein air, using oils on paper. The paper was sold for use with oils or acrylics, and has a coarser texture then my usual canvas.The view is of the Buttermere - Crummock Water valley.
