I painted this self portrait using acrylic and oil paints on canvas board. I applied a thin layer of acrylic paint to the board, and painted the figure in oil, I wanted the figure to be shiny and smooth and to stand out against the matt textured background. I found an old frame and painted the frame to match the background, adding a layer of clear resin to the frame to create a shiny smooth surface.
