This was an experimental painting, I was given some mirrored sticky back plastic someone was throwing away, and I tried painting on it! It was a lovely smooth surface, and once I’d put down a layer of acrylic I was able to paint the portrait in oil. Once it was dry I covered it in a thin layer of clear resin.
It was impossible to take a photograph without my reflection being in the background, but I think maybe when you look at it the reflection becomes part of the paining.
