This is a painting of my daughter Sophie proudly sitting in front of her new bookcase she had made to house all her special books. The book titles display her very keen interest in physics and mathematics and show that Sophie is a serious contemplative person, but her lighter more emotional character traits are revealed by the inclusion of a selection of fun books i.e. the Scrabble Dictionary and her cookery books.
I feel so proud of my wonderful daughter and I wanted to show off her unique, complex and amazing character!
This was my most ambitious painting to date!
