The abstract painting conveys the concept of temporality of nature and life. It also reflects the notion of the passing of time using water to represent time. The painting uses layering of colour and the pouring of turpentine onto paint to create the art work. Gestural mark making is evident. This creates a sense of the artist's presence. The use of gesture and gesture less techniques combine to make a dynamic painting that embodies layers of meaning.
