Eden 2 (Teshuva)
The abstract painting alludes to the passing nature of life and the natural world. Vibrant, vivid colour and texture are used to create a landscape expressing atmosphere, energy and dynamism. The landscape evolved using layering and spontaneous dripping of paint. The technique of staining was employed thus adding depth. The painting shows a variety of textures using impasto. Calligraphic gesture was also employed to form an image of a bridge across the centre of the composition. The art work was painted outside to capture the latent energy of nature and translate it into paint.
