I was interested in the composition and shapes of the cliff face and the striations of colour which were present in the rock. I used pencil and coloured pencil to try and represent the layering of the rock formations. I also used pencil shading and line work to try and enhance the sense of movement in the changing tide and the juxtaposition between the solidity of the rock and erosion of the coastline.
Produced in 2021.
