I was interested in the strong lines and shapes of the tree trunk and roots which had grown between rock formations. I used pencil to try and enhance the idea of solidity, with the tree integrating into the rock and becoming part of the rock formation.
Produced in 2018.
Exhibited 2019: The Great North Art Show, Ripon Cathedral, Ripon, North Yorkshire.
