A warm day in Lakeland enabled me to complete this oil sketch in a field near Armathwaite Hall just north of Bassenthwaite Lake in 2011. The close-up, (also on my Artists & Illustrators gallery page,) shows that back home I just added a couple of sheep in the right foreground, bringing the flock up towards the viewer.
