When I painted Morning has Broken I had a wonderful sense of awe of how sunlight can brighten up a moment and then go. I am sometimes a little impatient when painting in oils as I cannot progress until a layer is dry.
But a wait is worthwhile when creating that final atmosphere of sunbeams cascading down like spotlights onto the buttercups making them glow like gold.
What a wonderful world we live in!
This limited edition Giclee print (run limited to 150) has been printed on quality archival paper using fade resistant pigmented ink achieving the highest quality both in colour match and likeness of my original oil on board by Mike Shepherd Photosynthesis, Lancaster.
