I am fortunate to live in a village on the shores of Morecambe Bay with the most beautiful countryside close by. The Lake District is the other side of the bay. At last I have had chance to paint again after many years and my medium is in oils. After studying art to A level I eventually trained to be a graphic designer in industry and then the next few years raising a family and working in our business. My love of animals, escaping into the countryside on picnics, walking the fells of the Lake District, swimming in the bay and being in the outdoors has never left me.
During the pandemic I took my camera and sketchbook out and this gave me the inspiration to paint again. In 2022 I began to paint my first canvas after many years and I have not stopped since! Becoming a finalist in Lancashire Artist of the Year 2023 with my "Wildflower Meadow near Heysham Village" gave me the encouragement to continue. I paint in my maiden name Nessa Fearn as I did as a young adult.
I find painting relaxing and rewarding. Each original has taken time and I try to paint what I see using some artistic licence at times. Detail is my thing and also the wonder of how light can change a landscape in a few seconds. The show of colours which nature provides gives me tremendous inspiration.
I decided recently to have most of my work limited editioned into Giclee prints and my Piggies nursery paintings (which I did in my 30's using pen and watercolour medium) to be available as signed Giclee prints. I have recently held a solo Charity Art Exhibition which was a success and raised money for a local charity and also gave me the opportunity to showcase my prints.

I do hope you enjoy seeing my artwork. Each piece has been created from my soul.
