This watercolour painting was inspired when travelling on a bus , sitting behind this old lady with grey hair coloured with a washy tint that had passed its best. I have been fascinated by the amount of pins holding her hair in place.
The work was done from the photo I took.I used masking fluid to reserve some of the white and paler hues. The paper used is 300g/m2 ,cold pressed.
