Marine Painting. Framed. Oil on Panel. Studio painting made from on-site oil pastel sketches made just under St.Ives lighthouse. Depicts huge wave about to break on the rocks. The challenge was to combine palette knife work with brushwork and endeavour not to lose the ouside atmosphere that one risks when transferring plein-air studies to the studio.
