How can a portrait determine the point of view, using facial expressions, pose, clothing, hairstyle, objects, scale from portrait to text?
Students will use the elements of portrayal from Jane Austen's Portrait and Pride and Prejudice text, to discover point of view: facial expressions, pose, clothing, hairstyle, objects, scale from Jane Austen's Portrait to determine point of view from both portrait and text.
Materials:
Pride & Prejudice, Graphic Organizers, KWL charts, journals
Vocabulary:
Point of View: Subject, or people in the portrait and text.
Guided Practice
Students will work in groups to analyze the Jane Austen portrait, using Graphic Organizers, KWL charts to determine Jane Austen's Point of View.
