Watercolour acid free 140 lb handmade paper, mounted only for client's frame.
The Grantham Canal once connected waterways between Nottingham and Grantham when it was used for transporting goods between the two towns.
Today it is largely silted up and overgrown with weeds. The mileage stone is a relic of that era, now well past. Mostly removed, this stone is one of a few set beside the canal towpath and offers a symbol of a vanished age.
