Karl Smith

Since retiring a few years ago I have had time to follow my passion for painting and exploring the landscapes and architecture of the British Isles.
During the last 5 years I have also taken on several commissions for more varied subjects including owners pets as well as favourite corners of our glorious countryside. My wish is to convey my love of the beauty contained within everyday scenes and objects through my artwork.
On a personal note, my artwork is therapy which helps me to live with a chronic condition. Diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease, 8 years ago, the concentration needed to create a painting takes me away from the challenge of living with this debilitating illness. I hope that you will enjoy my work.
