Derwent Drawing Pencils on black paper. I am drawn to coloured pencils more and more these days, mainly because they are capable of such depth and subtlety, and I especially love this range of pencils with its unique earthy palette.
Dimensions are image size only. Framed with a soft cream, very slightly distressed, wooden frame.
A highly personal piece, this is inspired by the Spanish version of a song by Italian singer, Eros Ramazotti, of the same title. While it is largely about my individual struggle between the two places I now call home, I hope it resonates with the struggles that we all have between our past and our future.
