Art, in all its many forms, has been central to my life since I was a teenager. I graduated with a degree in ceramic sculpture in 1978 and then went on to teach art in secondary schools; I have recently retired from my position as Head of Art in a Lincolnshire Grammar School in order to concentrate full time on my artistic practice.
My work is mainly focused on painting, with elements of printmaking and textiles integrated into the pieces. My work ranges in subject matter, from landscape and still-life to the figure and portraits; with self-portraits being dominant - for practical reasons only, I am always available! I am always learning and I am constantly reminded of how much there is still to learn and explore.
