Gill Goddard

I’m a sailor. The power and chaos of the sea holds a fascination for me in all its colours, sunsets, sunrises, calmness and storms. I also love the greens of the landscape where I live and work in Devon. I like to use collage in my paintings as well as a flat surface board to create light, colour and texture with acrylics, mostly straight from the tube, which suits my style of work because they are fast drying and versatile. I like to work with a palette of a single colour and sometimes with a few vibrant colours which I carry from one canvas to another.
