An abstract painting of the sea and harbour at night using Ultramarine acrylic paint straight from the tube, and mixed with a paint texturiser, applied onto an unprepared canvas. The white of the canvas shows through in places with a deliberate relief element and offers the viewer a representation of lights at the harbourside late at night, while the textured finish gives the painting in the lower half depth, offering differing tones of blue.
