Storm Babet was the second autumnal storm to hit the shores of Great Britain in Mid October ‘23. At the time I was struggling to find a focus for this wide collaged landscape painting. I often have the radio on when I am painting and whilst listening to the reports of the chaos and devastation, the wildness of the sea took over and literally overwhelmed the landscape I was initially trying to lay out on the canvas. This painting has been framed in grey and was finished along the shoreline with black and pink acrylic pastels.
