I painted this as a pair to The Indian Box although both can be hung separately.
This time I wanted to paint wild animals in a different way. I thought, why not put them in a box? It is a safe place for these precious, endangered and beautiful creatures, like the Elephant, Lion and Colobus Monkey.
Although scale has been turned on its head, hopefully you are drawn to the highly imaginative portrayal of the subject matter. Each bird, animal and reptile has a kingdom in this African landscape. We become intoxicated with the space, the climate and the animals.
Canvas Size: 50cm x 40cm
No framing required as the design continues around the sides.
