The Games Room gives you a glimpse of the family’s unusual style throughout the house.
The wonderfully ornate wooden furniture was my inspiration for the painting because I then thought, who sits on this? It had to be dogs!
Each one has a very distinct personality, and as I painted one after the other, it almost shocked me how their individual character was staring me in the face. It is like the artist who is painting a portrait and uncovers hidden characteristics of his or her sitter.
I am very interested in creating rooms; ferns, bamboo, unusual furniture, colour, detail and any aspect of making an original interior.
This is what I love!
