Let There Be Light (painted in both Acrylic and oil on canvas) seeks to present to the viewer that trees of a species support each other as a community and work together, cooperating with each other in order to sustain their existence and so their ecosystem. Many scientific studies have shown these ecosystems are more complex than we previously realised (The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben). Trees exist in a state of equilibrium as part of the earths ecosystem. I hope to present the viewer with the revelation that trees are more than likely sentient and live in harmony. How does this translate in our own personal experience?
