Parkgate (oil and gold leaf on canvas) is an estuary of the river Dee on the Wirral. These are saltmarshes which grew when the course of the river silted up. Originally a seaside resort it is now saltmarsh which successfully proliferated and support salt marsh wildlife. A beautiful sunset high lighted with gold leaf giving a golden bright warm glow.
