One of my earlier experiments with the style of using stark light and shade to obscure and reduce the forms of the figures in the painting. The positioning of blazing yellow towards the right of the painting against the rich blues and purples towards the left gave this painting a real sense of movement. This piece was a real turning point for me and a style I went on to pursue and explore further.
