This piece was quite a personal piece to me, being an admiring fan of Murray's and an avid watcher of Wimbledon. Such a great achievement simply had to be captured on canvas. I chose this particular image to work from as it had a strong source of light and provided me with the opportunity to try painting a reflective surface for the first time. Really enjoyed bringing out the bold colours in the trophy. A pleasure to paint.
