Rebecca Boswell

I've been artistic since I can remember and as a toddler would spend most of the day drawing. Fast forward many years I decided to study printed textiles at Loughborough University School of Art and Design. It was there that I was able to develop my drawing and painting skills before being finalised into print design. It was the developmental part that I enjoyed the most. After years of being encouraged to look at getting a "real job" as a back up and putting my dream of being an artist to one side I'm finally focusing on the dream and no longer embarrassed to call myself an artist.
Being a mother to 3 young children has given me the time to reevaluate what is important to myself and my family and over the past few years have been commissioned to do many pet portraits as well as sell individual pieces such as biro pen drawings, small landscapes and even classic car paintings.
I'm inspired by many things and will try and capture them using different media such as pastel, pen, acrylic and oil paints. Even though I have considered focusing on a niche I just can't and have many ideas that I wish to develop and share with you here.
