Marilyn Monroe was often feted for her looks -'blond bombshell' image and Hollywood persona. She desperately wanted to be viewed as more than that and someone who actually had an intellectual side to her (hence the copy of Ulysses in the background). We these three images I have tried to depict her moods as; relflective, thoughtful and vulnerable rather than just a Hollywood filmstar/icon.
