I have had a very successful career as an international Human Resources professional and consultant (I keep a hand in still) but from an early age wanted to be an artist. However, financial and family pressure meant that (like so many I guess) I had to get a 'proper' job. Those pressures no longer exist to the same extent, so here I am showcasing my watercolour paintings. I am self-taught and paint subjects that interest and inspire me. I prefer watercolour as I like it's unpredictability and it is challenging to use- and I like a challenge ! I tackle most subjects, however I am developing a keen interest in wild life and nature. I am currently based in the East Midlands and Pembrokeshire ( a haven for all types of artist). In terms of developing and evolving as an artist I am interested in combining different medium into my work e.g. pen and ink, pencil, pen etc. Another longer term aim is to use my artistic/painting skills with other forms of communication to create publications, books, media pieces and use art to tell stories, offer social comment or in the form of cartoons.
