This is a gentle portrait of the highly endangered Spectacled Bear. Spectacled bears are the last remaining representatives of the short-faced bears, and are the only bear species found in South America. In a portrait like this I try to capture that fleeting moment of communication when your eyes meet and your souls touch.
It is drawn in coloured pencil crayon and is framed.
