This is an acrylic on an 8 cm deep box canvas.
The man is a factory worker whose life is governed by time, bells rule his day to tell him when he can eat, when he must work, when he can stop; he is always watching the clock. During his breaks he dreams of his beloved fishing and longs for the weekends when he can be at home or escape to the peace of the river bank.
