The painting is acrylic on board. I haven't done much landscape painting, I think because I couldn't get past the reaslistic stage but I spend a lot of time walking in forests and finally have become obsessed with simplifying the beautiful shapes, tones and colours. This is the first in a series that I now have gathering in my mind's eye! I'm looking forward to seeig where the forests take me; exciting!
