This began as a fluid art painting in acrylics, and developed into a depiction of industry with heat and fire and the broken metal of old cranes. Not my usual style or subject matter, but maybe my comment on how the things I love in our beautiful British countryside are being slowly eroded and destroyed by progress towards the man made.
Nevertheless, it was such fun to paint! And I added some gold leaf to bring it to life.
