In August 2021, I was hospitalised with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and spent the next 8 months bed-bound.
This work was conceived as a triptych that tracks my decline & recovery. Although my pallor and gauntness alters across the 3 pictures, I hope there is something of a steely determination that links them.
The symbol in each picture is the pattern found on all NHS hospital gowns at the time.
