'Triton and Nereid' - charcoal over watercolour wash - based on Auguste Rodin's sculpture (c.1886)

This drawing of Rodin's sensuously entwined sea deities seeks to emphasise the sculptor's direct engagement with the subject of the female nude. The figure of Triton - caressing the Nereid’s voluptuously modelled torso - embodies the spirit of Rodin’s desire and veneration for the female body. The use of charcoal strives to capture both the strength and gracefulness of the original sculpture and the loose representation of the forms.

The print will be unmounted and unframed, wrapped in acid free tissue and delivered in a sturdy postal tube by Royal Mail tracked and signed for. (Postage included in the price U.K. only).

* Limited edition giclée print: Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm quality archival cotton white paper using light-fast, pigment-based inks achieving the highest quality both in colour match and likeness of the original artwork.

* Signed by the artist with the title and edition number. Each print also comes with a Hahnemühle Certificate of authenticity with a serialised numbered hologram which corresponds to an identical hologram attached to the back of the print.
