Chrissy Walker

I am originally from Cheshire but moved to Kent in 1996 to study Jewellery Design, specialising in working drawings and gouache renderings. My heart has always been in drawing. I love faces with character, particularly wrinkles around eyes and folds in fabrics.
Pencil and Charcoal are my preferred medium but I have recently been experimenting with oil paints. I really enjoy blending whites to subtle greys into intense blacks, it is very satisfying.... I see it as a form of meditation, of blocking out the world around me.
I am at my happiest with a pencil and sketchbook in my hand and charcoal all over my face.
