The back of her neck has long held a fascination for me. This work is a departure from my typical portraits for a more figurative piece, building on the life drawing that brought me back to art over 10 years ago.
It follows on from ‘Candle-lit’ in presenting my wife in a different light though, I’m afraid, one she finds less than flattering.
