Double Portrait (series)
Created August 2019 - April 2020.
A series of pictures in monochrome & colour that describe the desire to look forward together. The pose is based on ‘The Islanders’ featuring poet John Cornford and his lover Rachel ('Ray') Peters. (NPG photographic archive.)
This was conceived as an evolution from a carbon pencil drawing, to a pastel monochrome, to my first full colour pastel work - initially an A3 size, then at A2.
