hi my name is Patrick Doolin.
I am a landscape painter from Scarborough North Yorkshire in the uk.
Most of my paintings come from my imagination or jumble of images I might have seen while out and about and taken photos of.
On occasion I will go out and paint from life just for the pure joy of it!.
I would have to confess that my paintings don’t have A STYLE ….
I feel people would be hard pressed to recognise one of my paintings from a previous work which is something I don’t plan they just turn out that way.

The first step in my painting process begins when I see something that really grabs my attention, light through forest trees, a Babbling Brooke, a sunset sky or soft shadows down a country lane.
All the things I have just described are fundamental to the human condition and are a reminder of the great treasures we find in nature and of how lucky we are to still be able to witness it’s great wonders.
