Val Morsman

I alternate between different media; watercolour, collage and ink, acrylic or oils, and love to experiment with colour. My subjects are varied and I am told that my style is recognisable - loose, impressionistic and colourful!

I find much of my inspiration in how happy observing the colours of life makes me, transferring them to paper and canvas, and am often motivated by 'happy accidents' with the paint, which suggest a theme or mood. My love of loose watercolour and latterly intense colour combinations in acrylic, oil and collage have led me to give regular workshops and exhibit in Devon and Wiltshire.
