I drew this down in the square a couple of weeks ago using an old dip pen and brown ink, and a brush and some sandy spillage water from the bottom of my ink box, which gives a happy, grainy blueish wash. It was hot and sunny on that day, and the shadows were good. There was an opera singer busking, whom I would have drawn if I hadn't already begun this one. This is about the movement and bustle and feel of the place, rather than being a work of superb accuracy. Am saving this for an exhibition.
