Plein air drawing, worked on a little back home, made in the summer of 2020 at Branksome Dene Chine. The colours came in a dream. I sat up, turned the light on and wrote the colourscheme down, prepared a wash in the maroony-purple colour for the background, and took just those colours down to the beach. The drawing is in charcoal pencil. The rest of it is dry pastels and a couple of coloured pencils. I'm going to be entering into a competition in the near future :)
