<p>I paint in watercolour, acrylics and mixed media.  Light, colour and pattern are important in my compositions of impressionistic/realistic subjects inspired by the natural world.  I ike to employ the natural flow of whichever medium I'm using to create some ambiguous passages of texture and shadow.</p>
<p>Largely self-taught, I have been painting full time for 25 years, spent mostly in Jamaica, which continues to be a source of inspiration for much of my work.  Having moved back to the UK in 2013, I am finding new ways of looking at the countryside and wildlife of my childhood.</p>
<p>I run workshops in both UK and Jamaica, give demonstrations and talks and accept commissions.</p>
