A waterway runs through the marshland into the distance, between banks of reeds. There is a hushed calm atmosphere, broken only by the small rustlings of birds and small creatures in the reeds. The viewer stands on the divide between two worlds, water and air, where they intermingle and get lost within each other. Similarly, I have painted this piece with a mingling of watercolour and acrylic techniques, so you are not sure where the transition from one to the other takes place.
