A new expressionist portrait of a Highl;and Cow, who steps forward to meet you from a contemporary , abstract background. The main colours are a striking rich peri blue and ultramarine, and constrasting pale peach and gold with touches of dusky pink. There is a very modern vibe to this new piece. However the tradition oil painting techniques in the treatment of the cow mean this painting is equally at home in a modern or traditional setting.
