This painting was prompted by my trip to Sorrento last year when my husband and I took a day trip to Naples, the mother town of pizza. Not only is Naples considered to be the place where pizza originated from but to this day it holds the title of the best pizza in the whole of Italy. I had a chance to confirm that myself basing on the wonderful experience of eating a most delicious pizza. This couple whom I saw outside one of the takeaway pizza places, was so absorbed with consuming their delicious lunch that they didn’t even mind me hovering about with my phone camera.
