Doorway to the Forest is painted to connect us to the woods and to nature, with light shining through the trees like a rose window of a cathedral. It is also painted to show that moment when a deer meets you and in a moment he is gone, but that meeting feels forever and stays with you. It is a painting that shows the forest when we are not there, but as a wonderful reminder to slow down and hold it in our hearts.
